My name is Catherine Smith. I am a woman and writer of the third estate. Because i'm in the third estate I don't have many rights and have to work as a baker to earn a little extra money. My husband and I own little land and most money we earn goes towards the taxes on it. Our land was taken from us because we could not afford the tax the higher authority put on it. We have small crops but most were also taken by the higher authority. My husand and I are hard workes and expecting a child.
